Lois M. Myhre

Lois Marie (Berg) Myhre, 78 formerly of Chaseburg, went home to be with Jesus on May 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She fought a tough battle for many years and now we are reassured that she is in Jesus arms free from pain and sorrow.  Her earthly battle is over and she has won the ultimate prize of eternal life in heaven.

Lois was born March 17, 1945 to August and Arlene (Faulks) Berg.  She attended Rothschild Grade School and graduated from D.C. Everest High School.  She married Donald “Congo” Ray Myhre on April 4, 1970 in Schofield.  For a period of time, she worked as a Beautician.  She also worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Grade School in LaCrosse, WI.  Her greatest and most fulfilling job was raising her two daughters, Jennifer and Jill.  As the girls got older, she would fill her days house cleaning for a multitude of people.  She made sure she to always be home when Jenny and Jill were done with school.

Lois loved to bowl.  She would spend her Tuesday afternoons with her bowling ladies.  She also enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She would enjoy early morning coffee clutch with her Chaseburg friends.

Lois is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Myhre, Jill Dahlke and Kurt Salverson; 5 grandchildren, Cole and Becca Dahlke, Austin and Abby Schroeder, McKenzie and Hayden Berent, Savannah Dahlke and Jordan Luke, and Joshua Dahlke; 5 great-grandchildren, Payton, Liam, and Delilah Dahlke, Lander and Brooks Berent, and #6 on her way, Lainey Luke.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 16, 2023 at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. A visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. The Seland Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
