James V. Pedretti Jr.

May 7, 1960 — May 14, 2022

James Victor Pedretti Jr, 62, of Genoa passed away unexpectedly May 14, 2022 due to an automobile accident.

Jim was born May 7, 1960 to James Sr. and Patricia (Larson) Pedretti at St. Ann's hospital in La Crosse and grew up on a family farm in Stoddard. He graduated from De Soto high school in 1978 and attended Western technical college.

Jim was co-owner of Pedretti's Kwik stop for 33 years, worked security at the Genoa power plant, co-owned Stoddard Inn, worked in labor and delivery at Gundersen Health for 15 years and was your friendly neighborhood mailman in Stoddard. You could always see him chatting with the people he delivered for.

Jim loved spending time with his family and you could always find him and his brother Jon doing something together, be it lawn mowing, grave digging, trips to Menards or sitting in the shed that they called the "shed of wisdom". He enjoyed bike rides and Sunday breakfast with his childhood best friend Jeff Kabat. He was always spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to take the grandkids to Culver's, he'd take naps with them on his belly, and absolutely loved to spoil them. He loved to donate, join raffles and ride for “Big bikes for little tikes”.

Jim was a great man devoted to his family and his community. He was hard working and loved to keep himself busy. His laugh was contagious and he had a smile that could warm your heart from a mile away.

Jim is survived by his son, Michael (Jessica) Pedretti and daughter, Miriah Pedretti (Justin Munyon); his beloved grandchildren, Delfina, Atreus and Axel Pedretti; siblings, Jeff (Sharon) Pedretti, Jerry (Connie) Pedretti, Lori Pedretti, Lisa (Greg) Peterson and Jon Pedretti; nephews and nieces Amanda (Jon) Wegenka their kids Hailey, Liam, Zoey, Chad Pedretti, Jake (Breanne) Pedretti, Stephen Pedretti, Jennifer (David) Kuchinski their kids Alexandria, Jeremy, Ryan, Tony Peterson, Matthew, Rachael, Rebecca, Marissa Pedretti; his very special grade school friend Jeff (Gretchen) Kabat; and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and infant brother Jason.
