Elaine W. Rundahl

Elaine (Jahnke) Wilma Rundahl, 93, of Coon Valley, WI died peacefully on November 4, 2021.  She was born on September 27, 1928 in LaCrosse to John and Catherine (Vanderlaan) Jahnke .  She was baptized and attended primary school at First Lutheran.  She graduated with honors from Central High school. She married Jaran Rundahl on April 23, 1949.  They farmed and raised their family on North Ridge. Elaine lived in the same farm house for 73 years. She was a strong guiding force serving as the chief financial officer for the family farming business.

Many things changed during 73 years Elaine lived in the same farm house.  From farming with horses to farming with computerized combines Elaine kept track of day to day operations.  She always knew where Jaran, John, David and Dale were planting and harvesting and often worked the phone to keep them in communication.  She was active in the community homemakers association and served in leadership capacities in her ladies aid.  Elaine loved having the family together and left a legacy of love for family.

She is survivied by her children, Ann Mallek (Donald), John Rundahl, Mary Hauck (Rolf), David Rundahl (Brenda), and Carol Tillman (Ken).  There are seventeen grandkids John Rundahl (Amanda), Joseph Rundahl (Nicole), Jennifer Rundahl, Daniel Rundahl (Tara), David Fritz (Reyna), Britt Struemke (Jeremy),  April Zuberbier (Ryan), Beth Bomkamp (Matt), Dale Rundahl, Karen Moon (Jeff), Pamela Pfautz (Craig), Kari Hauck, Amy Hauck (Tim),  Sarah Hauck (fiancé Eric), Rachel Tillman (fiancé Michael), Erik Tillman, Angela Tillman.  There are twenty six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jaran and her daughter-in-law, Sandy Rundahl.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday November 9, 2021 at Hamburg St Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, rural Chaseburg. Rev. Steven Oldre will officiate with burial in the Hamburg Church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5-7 pm at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley.   Memorials are suggested to St Peter Ev Lutheran Church - Hamburg, or Luther High School.   Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
