Carroll C. Olson

Carroll C. Olson, 85, of Westby, died Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua.  He was born April 18, 1936 in Bathgate, N.D. to Clarence C. and Thelma (Eikern) Olson.  He and his family relocated to Westby when Carroll was an infant.  Carroll graduated from Westby High School and then enlisted in the Army for 2 years.  He married Patricia L. Johnson from Cashton on January 12, 1958.  Carroll had Carroll’s Building Supply and the Old Town Motel in Westby for a number of years during his working career.

Carroll is survived by his wife, Patricia and their son, Chris (Sue) Olson and two special granddaughters, Annika and Emily Olson; his sister Faye McClurg and many nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step sister.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 13, 2021 at Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church. Burial with military honors will be in the Coon Prairie Cemetery.  A visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
