Virginia M. Klum

Virginia M. Klum, 85, of Chaseburg, died Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse surrounded by her family. She was born October 20, 1927 to Otto and Sophia (Opdahl) Huebner in La Crosse. Virginia married Gerald Klum on August 29, 1946 in Stoddard. The couple farmed their married life in rural Chaseburg. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include 2 daughters Joan (Terry) Jorstad of Chaseburg and Susan Comardelle of Coon Valley; 6 sons David (Sharon) of Ettrick, John (Mary) of Viroqua, James (Mary) of Chaseburg, Steven (Ellen) of Chaseburg, Ronald of Viroqua and Jeffery (Sam) of Chaseburg; 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Lorraine Hansen of La Crosse.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, infant twin son and daughter, 2 grandsons Chase and Lucas Klum, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 8, 2013 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. Rev. Steven Oldre will officiate with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until service time.
