Stanley A. Hoff

Stanley A. Hoff, 86, of rural Westby, died Monday March 1, 2010 at his home. He was born March 12, 1923 to Hilmer and Marie (Bagstad) Hoff in Coon Township, Vernon County. Stanley was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. He attended Nerison School. Stanley married Loretta Reeves in 1971 in Iowa. She preceded him in death. Stanley farmed and for many years worked with his brothers Howard and Leif at the Hoff Brothers Well Service. In his earlier years he operated a mink farm. Stanley enjoyed taxidermy, hunting, fishing and working with steam engines.

Survivors include his daughters Kira (Scott) Hoff and Coleen (Chris) Anderson; 11 grandchildren Kyle, Amanda, Allison, Ean, Autumn Hoff and Joseph, Noah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Jonathan and Samuel Anderson and many cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Howard and Leif.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday March 4, 2010 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
