Shirley E. Wilson, 72, of Chaseburg, died Saturday December 20, 2014 at her home in Chaseburg. She was born January 21, 1942 in rural Chaseburg to Gordon and Ethelyn (Dummer) Ostreng. She married Merton "Pat" Wilson on December 28, 1957 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. The couple lived in Aurora, Illinois for 30 years. After raising her children, Shirley worked at Loctite in Aurora for 12 years. In 1994 the couple moved back to Chaseburg where Shirley worked at the Chaseburg Market and then Organic Valley. She was member of the Chaseburg American Legion Auxiliary and the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church and WELCA. Shirley loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include 4 sons, Peter (Judy) of La Crosse, William (Sally), Gary (Devonia) and Gregory all of Chaseburg; 12 grandchildren, Brandon, Crystal, Shawn, Cory, Mitch (Christa), Jess, Jared, Tyler, Alexis, McKenzie, Ryan and Joshua; 3 great grandchildren, Nova, Rayne and Temperance; 3 sisters, Genevieve (Ron) Lenser of Chaseburg, Macy (Harland) Johnson of La Crosse and Mary Midtlien of Chaseburg; one brother Virgil (Sharon) Ostreng of Montgomery, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Merton "Pat" on June 11, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday December 24, 2014 at the Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church, rural Chaseburg, with Rev. Donald Fox officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
