Sharon K. Twinde

Sharon K. Twinde, (Holthaus), age 82, of rural Chaseburg, and beloved wife of Allen S. Twinde for 61 years of marriage, died on December 26, 2023 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, surrounded by family. Sharon was born to Donald & Evelyn Holthaus in 1941. She graduated from La Crosse Central High School. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother of three loving daughters and grandmother of three joyous grandchildren and took care of many wonderful pets throughout her life.

Sharon along with her husband raised crops and farmed beef cows for 51 years on their farm in rural Chaseburg. She worked as a secretary and in claims administration. She was generous with her time and dedication to her family and friends and Chaseburg community. She wrote the History of Chaseburg book. She enjoyed tracing family trees & presented on genealogy. She was an active participant in both Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church Ladies Aide & Circle, served as previous Sunday School Superintendent and worked as church secretary. She was actively involved with Chaseburg Chargers 4-H club while her daughters were growing up. She participated in many Chaseburg American Legion Post 202 Veteran events along with her U.S. Army veteran husband. She and Allen loved to go country dancing.

Survivors include her husband, Allen; three daughters, Lisa K. Twinde (Troy Tveitnes) of Muskego, Julie Twinde (Michael Carter) of Chaseburg, Vicki Twinde-Javner (Steven Javner) of Stoddard; two granddaughters, Belynda & Trinity; one grandson, Tristan; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Evelyn; her sister Valerie Lancour, and her two brothers, Richard Holthaus and Marce Holthaus, and her in-laws and various other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday December 30, 2023 at Lower Coon Valley Lutheran Church rural Chaseburg. A visitation will be held at the church from noon until service time. Rev.
