Ramon "Ray" L. Ebli

Ramon "Ray" L. Ebli, 78, of rural Coon Valley, died Thursday May 5, 2011 at his home. He was born November 26, 1932 in Iron Mountain, Michigan to Louis and Isabella (Raymore) Ebli. Ray grew up in Loretto, Michigan and graduated from Norway High School in Norway, Michigan. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran serving in South Korea from 1951 to 1953. Ray married Jeanne Nelson on July 16, 1960 at Our Saviors Lutheran Chapel in Milwaukee. He worked at Harley Davidson for several years and then at Perfex Corporation for 27 years both in Milwaukee. The couple moved to rural Coon Valley in 2001. Ray was a member of the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church where he enjoyed helping and the Coon Valley American Legion Post #116. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, the outdoors, flowers and gardening, cooking and visiting with just about anyone.

Survivors include his wife Jeanne; 2 children Sheryl Ebli of St. Francis, and Jay (Becci) of Oak Creek; 2 grandchildren Marissa and Ciara both of Oak Creek; a sister Maxine (Chet) Stempien of Beverly Hills, Michigan; and special friend Kathy Pendzich; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends and his special four footed furry friend Duchess. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ray will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 10, 2011 at the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the Coon Valley American Legion Post #116. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
