Norman L. Oliver

Norman L. Oliver, 70, of Coon Valley, died Friday July 28, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born November 8, 1946 to Clifford and Myrtle (Hooverson) Oliver. He attended school in Viroqua and Westby. Norman helped farm and worked at the Chaseburg Creamery after graduation. He enlisted in the US Navy in the spring of 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1972 after serving two tours in Vietnam. He worked at the Chaseburg Creamery, Sara Lee Bakery, Westby Creamery and Wis-Pak, retiring in 2004 due to his health. He was married to Joyce Oliver and they were later divorced.

He is survived by a sister, Georgann Carley of Beaumont, CA; 2 brothers, Dennis (Bonnie) Oliver of La Crosse and Tom (Karen) Oliver of Coon Valley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held Wednesday August 2, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. officiated by Rev. Steven Oldre.
