Marjorie M. Hanson

Marjorie M. Hanson, 80, of rural Coon Valley died Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born April 29, 1934 in rural Viroqua to Arthur and Marie (Bushman) Peterson. She attended the Gilbertson School near Westby. Marjorie married Bud Hanson on November 2, 1968 in La Crosse. The couple farmed their married life in Bohemian Valley, La Crosse County. She enjoyed flower gardening, doing lawn work and was an excellent cook and baker.

She is survived by her husband, Bud Hanson and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald Peterson in 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday March 9, 2015 at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate with burial in Coon Prairie Cemetery in Westby. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Monday from noon until service time.
