Marc E. Dahlen

Marc E. Dahlen, 60 of Coon Valley, passed away peacefully the morning of December 29, 2025. He was born October 15, 1965 to Anthony and Dorothy (Anderson) Dahlen. Marc was baptized & confirmed at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. As a youth, along with his farmwork on the Dahlen Farm with his grandparents, Clarence and Thelma, he thrived in local baseball, football & wrestling at many levels, graduating from Westby Area High School in 1984.

Living his entire life in Coon Valley, he was a longtime servant of the village, acting in many roles with the volunteer firefighter & first responder crew. Along with serving Coon Valley, he worked as a roofer & electrician, helping many area residents with their home projects.

Later in life, you could find him enjoying John Wayne movies & M*A*S*H* and supporting local businesses with his partner Kathy Jo Nelson.

He is survived by his mother Dorothy Dahlen of Coon Valley, Dusty (Maranda) Oliver & Nikki (Travis) Ezelle of Westby, as well as several grandchildren, brothers Paul (Erin) Dahlen of Rochester, MN & Daniel Dahlen of La Crosse, sisters Christine (Daniel) Jensen of Rochester, MN, Theresa (Troy) Starch of Stoddard, Lisa (Dean) Rommes of Charleston, SC, Karena (Brian) Amundson of West Salem, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Dahlen, in 2005.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Coon Valley Lutheran Cemetery. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
