Luella M. Anderson

Luella M. Anderson, 86, formerly of rural DeSoto died Saturday February 12, 2011 at Lakeview Health Center in West Salem. She was born June 15, 1924 in Carson, North Dakota to Wallace and Minnie (Twite) Broadhead. She attended school in Leith, North Dakota. The family moved to Victory, Wisconsin in 1939. She attended high school in Viroqua. In 1944 Luella married Edwin Anderson and they resided in New Lisbon. They had one son, Dale who was killed in Vietnam in 1968. She had been a longtime resident of Lakeview Health Center in West Salem.

Survivors include two sisters Jean (Harry) Rabe of Melbourne, Florida and Delores (Norman) Carlson of White Bear Lake, Minnesota/Mesa, Arizona; a sister-in-law Della Broadhead and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dale, one sister and two brothers Leanoth and Walter Broadhead.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday February 17, 2011 at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley. Rev. Gary Daines will officiate with burial in Walnut Mound Cemetery in Retreat. Friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be given to the charity of choice. Online condolences may be offered at selandsfuneralhome
