Leo G. Davidson, 91, of rural Chaseburg, died Friday January 4, 2013 at his home. He was born April 11, 1921 to David and Josie (Volden) Davidson. He was baptized and confirmed at Vang Lutheran Church, rural Westby. Leo served in the U.S. Army 95th Infantry from July 13, 1942 to November 24, 1945 in England, France and Germany. On February 14, 1948 he married Gertrude Hoff. Leo farmed for many years near Chaseburg.

He was a member of the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church and the Chaseburg American Legion Post #202.

Survivors include four sons Richard (Beverly) of Prairie du Sac, Jeffrey of Chaseburg, Rodney (Nancy) of Westby and Brian of Chaseburg; 7 grandchildren Derek and Michael Davidson, Laura and Kristi, Liz (Khris) Kleba, Philip (Jill) Davidson and Jonathan Davidson; 8 great grandchildren Matthew, Rachael, Rebecca and Marissa Pedretti, Jack and Samantha Kleba and Taylor and Sawyer Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gert in 2008, and brothers Robert, Raymond, Delbert, Richard, Lloyd, Virgil and Blaine.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by the Chaseburg American Legion Post #202 and Coon Creek VFW #10532. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
