Jonathan W. Hoff

October 20, 1998 — March 23, 2013

Jonathan W. Hoff, 14, of Chaseburg, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday March 23, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born October 20, 1998 in Viroqua to Ronald and Amanda (Fish) Hoff and was baptized at Faith United Methodist Church, rural La Farge. Jonathan was currently an 8th grader at Westby Middle School.

Jonathan lived each day of his life to the fullest, showing endless strength and courage no matter what challenges he faced - making him an inspiration to so many. He was humble in doing things for others. He did not like being recognized for accomplishments or receive special attention because of having cancer. Jonathan had a passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He always looked forward to the annual prairie dog hunting trips. He especially enjoyed his most recent "hunt of a lifetime" - shooting a trophy buck, doe and bear. He also enjoyed caring for his ducks, geese, chickens and hunting dogs. Jonathan dearly loved his family, friends and community.

Survivors include his parents Ronnie and Amanda; siblings Nick (Marissa Vesperman), Danielle, Alyssa and Emily; grandparents, Myra Hoff, Milford (Judy) Fish Jr. and Vivanna (Jerald) Widner; great grandpa Clarence Stout; aunts and uncles and their families, Rachel (Roger) Niedfeldt, Ryan (Kim), Max and Harper, Rick, Robb (Shelli) and Millie, Allan Thompson; Bonnie (Alan) Boerner, Zac, Linnea (Jeremy) Shellenberg, Mya and Zoe, Cara; Robert (Sue Kagel) Hoff, Quentin, Devin and Ryssa; Travis (Shawn) Fish, Quinton and Alivia; Angie (Ryan) Piepenhagen, Natalie and Kylie; Tony (Nicole Wetter) Widner, Abbey, Haley Jo and Austin; Rene' Fortun, Grace, Tatum, Ava, William and Ryker; great aunts Doris Williams, Arlene Kapanke, Betty Haefer and Kathleen (Jeff) Steinhoff, and great uncles Bub Stout and Howard Hoff; special friend Maggie Herold; many other relatives and special friends.
