Helen J. Holen

Helen J. Holen, 92 of Coon Valley, died Wednesday June 10, 2026 at her home. She was born September 17, 1933 to Alfred and Hannah (Noringseth) Erickson. She graduated from Cashton High School in 1951. Helen married Howard Holen in 1952. They lived their married life in rural Westby until his death in 2014. She married Elnor Haugen in 2017. Helen was an excellent cook and loved to garden.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Mike (Judy) Holen and Ron Holen; 2 grandsons, Greg and Ross; a step grandson, James; 6 great grandchildren, Alexandria, Antonio, Antonette, Carmen, KC and Isabella; 4 great great grandchildren, Anaise, Damian, Joseph and Israel; a sister, Elvera, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard in 2014 and husband Elnor in 2024; a grandson; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be no services per her request. Burial will be in the Coon Valley Lutheran Cemetery. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
