Donna Rae L. Burke

Donna Rae L. Burke, 85, of Coon Valley died peacefully Sunday October 26, 2014 at her home. She was born February 14, 1929 in Coon Valley to Albert and Hulda (Johnson) Larson. She was baptized and confirmed at Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church. On June 23, 1951, Donna married Vernon Burke. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1989. Donna worked as a dental assistant in La Crosse for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Coon Valley Lutheran Church and a faithful choir member.

Survivors include her son Brad and daughter-in-law Mary Burke of Coon Valley; three grandchildren Benjamin Burke, Steven (Katie) Burke and Stephanie (Jeremy) Bumgarner; one great grandson, Dylan Bumgarner; two sisters Mildred Jansky and Lorraine Hansen and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, a great grandson Jakob Bumgarner, three sisters Hazel Kramer, Avis Shimshak and Esther Glenn and five brothers Lloyd, Norman, Arvid, Leslie and Milton Larson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday November 1, 2014 at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church. Rev. Mitzi Miyamoto will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
