David E. Mitchel

David E. Mitchel, 74 of Madison and formerly of Chaseburg, WI was taken by our Lord on Sunday March 31, 2013 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1938 in Chaseburg to Edward and Mabel (Gilbertson) Mitchel. David proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1956. He was employed by the city of Madison for over 30 years.

He is survived by his brother Richard Mitchel, his children Bonnie (Larry) Mitchel, Mary LaSavage, Robert (Deborah) Mitchel, Sharon Lembke and Susan (Mike) Clements, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews,. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday April 5, 2013 at the Middle Coon Valley Lutheran Church, rural Chaseburg. Rev. Dan Wollman will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10 am until service time. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family.
