David S. Larson

David Larson, 66, passed away May 24 at his home in Maplewood, MN. David was born July 9,1958 in LaCrosse, WI. He spent his school years in Coon Valley, WI.

David was the son of Harvey and Irene Larson. He was baptized in La Crosse, WI and confirmed in Coon Valley at the Coon Valley Lutheran Church.

David was a graduate of Westby High School in 1976 and the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse in 1981, majoring in computer science. He was very proud of his accomplishments at Westby High School in varsity football as an all-conference guard and also receiving an award for 4-year perfect attendance.

After graduation he moved to the Minneapolis area, working at several different companies as a computer specialist at Unisys and the United States Post Office until he retired in 2021.

He is survived by his sister Ilene Larson and brother-in-law Mark Schuster. David was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Irene Larson.

A graveside service will be held on August 16, 2025 at 10 am at the Coon Valley Lutheran Cemetery. The Seland Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the Westby Norse Fund.
