David C. Kuecker

David C. Kuecker, 76, of La Crosse, died Sunday June 15, 2014 at Gundersen Medical Center. He was born November 18, 1937 in Caledonia, MN to Herman and Irma (Krik) Kuecker. He was confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church rural Caledonia on March 18, 1951. He married Rose Davy and they were later divorced. David farmed the Kuecker home farm near Caledonia for many years. He also worked at Standard Lumber for a short time and then at the former Erickson Bakery in La Crosse for 20 years, retiring in 1999. David enjoyed fishing, driving tractor, traveling, going out with family and spending time with his granddaughter.

Survivors include 2 sons, Paul (Amanda) Kuecker of La Crosse and Jon of Minneapolis; a granddaughter Marissa Rose Oium Kuecker; a sister Muriel (George) Wiemerslage of Caledonia; a sister-in-law Norma Kuecker and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother William, a brother in infancy, Gerald; and a sister Joyce (Raymond) Klinski.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday June 21, 2014 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse. Rev. Jonathan Rimmert will officiate with burial in St. Peter's Union Township Cemetery, rural Caledonia. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
