On the evening of May 16, 2026, at the age of 73, Cynthia Ann Hoff surrounded by family was released of her earthly bonds a short time after being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Cindy was born to Jerold and Juliette Hoff on March 26, 1953, they called rural Coon Valley home.
Life for Cindy was marked by multiple jobs and homes, but her home in Esofea, WI stood out as her earthly paradise. With unwavering commitment to hard work, she significantly contributed to the establishment of Esofea Gardens and The Bad Axe River Country Club, achievements that brought her great pride.
Her warm hospitality made everyone who walked through the door feel welcome. This gift enabled her to build a wide circle of friends. Growing flowers in the greenhouse and planting her gardens brought her immense joy. Her love of birds, including Sandhill Cranes was evident, hummingbirds were her favorite, prompting a trip to Texas in September of 2024 to witness their migration to winter habitats.
Cynthia is survived by her loving family: son, Avery (Sarah) Johnson, grandchildren, Trevor, Haakon, Oskar, and Lucy Johnson; daughter, Marcena (Roy) Sandvick, granddaughters, Brianna, Julia and Victoria Sandvick; great granddaughter Zoe Sandvick; son, Wade (Jennifer) Johnson, grandchildren, Jayden, Jaxson, Annika, and Ashton Johnson; her brothers Tom, Ivan, Scott and Ruffy Hoff; sisters Paulene Aspenson and Elizabeth Bekkum; sister-in-law Nancy Hoff; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
