Beverly "Bev" J. Krause

Beverly "Bev" J. Krause, 64, of rural Coon Valley, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. She was born February 6, 1947 in La Crosse to Lester and Laura (Schultz) Krause. Bev worked at Riverfront for over 33 years. She enjoyed her work each day and made many friends over the years. She loved her bible and attended Jesus Cares Ministries for over 20 years. Bev was always a happy person and loved to visit. She loved animals - especially kittens and enjoyed music, riding her bicycle, writing letters and collecting pens. She was a life member of St. Peter's Hamburg Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her mother Laura; one sister Shirley Krause of La Crosse; two brothers Donald (Joyce) Krause of The Villages, Florida and Gordon Krause of La Crosse; nieces and nephews Julie (Tom) Hollenbeck of Denver, Colorado, Jody (Thor) Markula of Winter Park, Colorado, Shannon (Jason) Krautkramer, Kimberly (Donovan) Zielke, Brent Krause, Nicholas "Nick" Krause, and Tami (Seth) Nururdin all of La Crosse, Heather Krause of Duluth, Minn., Jordan Demoran and Cassidy Yates both of La Crosse; great nieces and nephews Destiny, O'Maryo, Lillianna, Gannon, Ethan and Peyton.

She was preceded in death by her father Lester in 1994.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday October 15, 2011 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. Rev. Steven Oldre will officiate with burial in the Hamburg Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given to Jesus Cares Ministries, Luther High School or St. Peter's Hamburg Lutheran Church.

Bev's family would like to thank the Riverfront staff for their many years of dedication and friendship, to the doctors and staff at Gundersen Lutheran for their care over the years, to Bethany Day Services for all their assistance and to her niece Tami for giving Bev such loving care the past 4 years. .
