Alice B. Peterson

Alice B. Peterson, 90, of Chaseburg, was called to her heavenly home Monday March 8, 2010 at Hillview Healthcare Center in La Crosse. Alice was born July 15, 1919, one of 4 children of Jesse and Emma (Lamprich) Bluske. She was raised in the town of Harmony, rural Chaseburg. Alice was married to Carl Peterson on May 22, 1940. Carl died on February 24, 1954. She then married Milton Peterson on December 7, 1957. Milton died May 2, 1994. Alice worked at La Crosse Garment Factory and Jack Winters for 21 years. Her hobbies included gardening, playing cards, quilting and fishing. She had a passion for canning and making food.

Alice will forever be remembered by her beloved sons Dennis (Lois) Peterson of La Crosse, Dean (Bonnie) Peterson of Westby, Marvin (Karla) Peterson of Chaseburg, a daughter-in-law Kathy Hayner, her loving sister Dorothy Michel of Stoddard and two caring sisters-in-law Caroline Peterson and Evelyn Sveum. She has 12 treasured grandchildren and 16 beautiful great grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers Raymond and Willard Bluske; a son Don Peterson and a grandson Andrew Peterson.

Alice had a strong faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and was comforted to know that she would meet Jesus and all of her family again in heaven.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday March 12, 2010 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chaseburg. Rev. Steven Oldre will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
